# Sentinow + Slack

Trigger test runs, get failure alerts, and share release reports without leaving Slack

**Category**: Communication
**Type**: Webhook

## Overview

The Sentinow Slack bot lets you start test runs, check results, and share release reports directly from Slack. Mention @sentinow trigger the regression suite and Sentinow runs it — no browser tab needed.

Notifications land in the channels that make sense — test failures in engineering, release signals in product, run completions in QA. Every notification is configurable per project and per event type.

Your whole team can see quality signals without a Sentinow account. Engineering, product, and leadership all stay informed from the tool they're already in.

## Features

- Trigger test runs with @sentinow from any Slack channel
- Get notifications when test runs fail or complete
- Receive release readiness alerts in the right channels
- Share release reports directly from Sentinow to Slack
- Configure notifications per project, per event, and per channel
- Full team visibility without requiring a Sentinow account

## Use Cases

### Triggering runs from Slack

Your QA lead mentions @sentinow trigger the regression suite in the #engineering channel before a deployment. Sentinow runs the suite and posts results back to the same thread — the whole team sees pass/fail without opening another tool.

### Immediate failure alerts

When a test run fails overnight, Sentinow posts a notification to #qa-alerts with the failing test names and a link to the run. Your team wakes up with context already in Slack — no dashboard to check first.

### Release readiness in product channels

Configure Sentinow to post release readiness signals to #product-releases. When the signal turns from 'At risk' to 'Ready', product and engineering see it in Slack immediately — without checking the Sentinow dashboard.
